My biography

Annie Horne has her BFA in Dance Studies from Texas State university, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2017, with a minor in Psychology. Dance has been a huge part of Annie's life, since she began when she was only 3. In school, she found her passion was to work with young dancers, and cultivate a safe and healthy environment for them to grow their own love of dance. She was a member of Transient Dance Collective at Texas State, an improvisational dance collective, and CIM TEYA, a touring ensemble that worked to teach children the STEM program (with the addition of Art and Reading) through dance. Annie was also fortunate to take masterclasses in NYC at studios like Gibney, Peridance, and Broadway Dance Center with the Texas State Dance department. Annie is also familiar with dance videography and had a piece "Le Lendemain", that was chosen to be in the Sans Souci film festival in 2017.

After graduating, Annie moved back to Houston and began teaching children's dance classes at Rowland Ballard, where she worked for 5 years, and had found such joy and purpose in being a part of young dancers' own journey into the beautiful and exciting world of dance and technique. She is thrilled to work with her students to cultivate a love of dance to last a lifetime!
